FRANKFURT (AFX) - Robert Bosch GmbH and Mann+Hummel Group said they will acquire ArvinMeritor's Purolator filter business for an undisclosed amount on April 1 and operate the business as a joint venture.
Purolator had sales of 267 mln usd last year and produces oil, air, fuel and cabin filters.
'Expanding our filter business is an integral part of our growth strategy in the Automotive Aftermarket Division,' Peter Tyroller, a Bosch board member said in a statement.
'In acquiring the Purolator filter business, we are significantly improving our market position in the NAFTA region.
