Bearing wear seems fine, so I don't think a thicker oil will benefit you in this situation. Aluminum engines with wet clutches tend to shed lots of Al, so no big surprise there either.
Which Amsoil 10W-40 is this? Is this the engine they recommend the 10W-50 in? I have a hard time believing that a good 10W-50 can be made without using some synthetic basestock?
