BMS Reset scanner

I have a 2013 Ford Edge, I'm looking to purchase a scanner, that will offer a BMS reset or registration after I replace my battery. I have tried letting it sit overnight, that doesn't work, I have tried flashing the high beams, pumping the brakes and doesn't work.. LOL.. nothing glorious. This is just something I'm going to use on an as needed basis..

FORScan is a cost effective way to do it

I ordered the Ancel FD500 Ford scanner.
I believe with ForScan I would need a computer with Windows. Unfortunately all I have, is my cell phone..

If it's an Android device, a Bluetooth ELM327 and the FORScan android app would also work

Well I received the scanner today, as soon as you plug it in, it will automatically pick up your vehicle. It goes through all the senses you could freeze them if you want want. It picked up stored codes I never even knew about, brake light switch, camera monitor, right and left lower vents. I changed the camera a few years ago. Power brake booster which changed several months ago. I originally wanted it for BMS, unfortunately all it offers is reset and not registration, so I can't put a AGM in it.. but I'm still happy it offers a reset..

If you want to change the battery type/chemistry, and reset the BMS, FORScan is about your only (cost effective) option

I don't know your budget, but Black Friday is near, they're probably be some dirt cheap Windows laptops
There's some ~$149 laptops now that'll make decent garage workstations
Keep it under $200 total with a cost effective yet very flexible vGate USB OBD2 adapter

Is that the free version of Forscan? I have a spare Windows laptop and could easily get the OBDII adapter…

I've had the paid version for some time, so I can't comment

There's also levels, BMS reset vs registration, vs going into the BCM and changing the profile of battery/system SoC

Worst comes to worst, you're out $20, but do let us know if the free version can handle it
