Good news for those of us in Central Illinois and Pontiac as the new Governor Quinn announced that our prison (which employs several hundred) will remain open, rather than being shut down via the skullduggery of Blago.

It's nice to see that the government jobs on the taxpayers backs are helping the liberals in Pontiac's economy. Thanks goodness the fiscally responsible people in government have been legislated out.

The reasoning behind closing Pontiac is unclear. Blago claimed is was a budget issue but I'm not sure anyone has seen the figures he used to determine that. Same with closing some state parks but conveniently just in particular areas.
Any decision the guy made is suspect at this point and should be examined. He was all about Blago and couldn't have cared less about Illinois on the whole.
