if the wax stain does come back, try some mother's back to black or a similar product.

From what I have read there, Eagle One A2Z wheel and tire cleaner works well at removing wax stains.
Also, a pink pencil eraser like the ones we had in grammar school works as well.
After cleaning and rinsing the trim, use 303 protectant on the trim, or you can use Klasse SG on it as well.
