I'm just floating this out there and I think it is a cool idea.

I think it would be cool for BITOG to get an online store. The store could stock apparel such as hats, jackets, license plate frames, or even t-shirts and sweaters with www.bobistheoilguy.com right on the front of them. Then maybe on the back of them they could show a picture of bunch of different oils grouped together. When I say grouped together, I don't mean Group II is this oil, Group III is this oil etc... just a picture of a bunch of different oils together. Maybe the store could stock there own oil, filter, additives etc... BITOG can make the decision who they choose to blend there own oil and name it Bobzoil. Could be a Group V oil running right up there oil RL, Motul etc...

Funny but cool to think at the same time you can buy oil with the name Bobzoil 5w30, Bobzoil 10w30 etc...

Seeing this is my idea, I can help run the store and other members can contribute as well in whatever way they so choose.

Like I said, all this is just an idea. Admins and Mods can fine tune at there own discretion,,,,,AR

Bumper sticker ideas:

"My kid was poster of the month at BITOG."

More slogan stickers:

"BITOG - Britney Spears drunk uncle posted here once."

"BITOGs ate my baby!"

"BITOG- we know ALL about rear end lube."

"BITOG- We know what's best for your Chevette."

"Guys that know, use BITOG. Guys that don't, well, they post here anyway."

"Friends don't let friends use Fram"

"Member of the 10,000 mile OCI club"

"I spend more on oil analysis then I do oil changes"

"BITOG- guaranteed not to agree on anything about lubrication"

"Lucas will make your oil foamy, homie"

"BITOG- breaking down oil myths since wayback"

"My lawn tractor would have died 10 years ago if I wouldn't have found BITOG"

"If you are not reading BITOG you are probably wrong"

Ok I've been sitting here at this **** keyboard, debating what to come up with for the last 10 mins. Am I just slow?

"If you spend more time changing your oil then you making out with your wife or g/f, you might be a BITOGer

"Wanna see my dipstick?

"If your sitting at your keyboard biting your nails or smoking cigarettes because your so anxious to try brand x oil at your next OCI, BITOG is right up your alley"

Seriously though, I think it would be cool to get a store for this site. All the money this site would accumulate. Think about it, a site that maintains a perfect balance between knowledge of oil and humourous at the same time,,,AR

I think airborneranger has a great idea. A few simple t shirts, some bumper stickers, maybe some hats to start out with.

If enacted, one way to do the nefarious deed is to use a Web site that has been up and running for awhile....

Is it "Cafe Press"???

Not sure.

Anywho, the site manager contacts the site and selects from a large assortment of goodies. That site uses its resources, contractor, whatever, and puts logos, slogans, etc. on the goodies.

Once done, the buyer goes to the site and selects the desired stuff, pays with a credit card, then waits for the shipper to break the stuff.

Haven't heard any bad stuff about that site but it is a wee bit expensive.

Some of the profit goes to the originating site, in this case, the BITOG owner/operator. A good way to help defray bandwidth costs, a groovy way for folks to contribute while still getting a goody to display to the world just how nifty keen thou art.

'Scuse me while I go try to find a real link to the site mentioned...........

Nope, that ain't it. Nekkid wimmenfolk there.
