Must be up to a few inches now... Heavy snow.

This one will be 8-12", not like last year's December storm where we had nearly 3rd in our backyard..

Driving home from Binghamton, NY in the blizzard, getting close to home...

Kathleen "Where are we going?"
Bryce "To the store b4 the snow gets too bad."
Kathleen "Oh, cool, I can get some stuff for dinner!"

‎5min later...

Kathleen "Why are we pulling into Advance Auto Parts?!"
Bryce "Because there is a sale on oil. (LC123 code found on this forum)"
Kathleen "You're friggin' crazy, it's a blizzard outside!"
Bryce *pulls donut with Ebrake in middle of empty lot*
Kathleen *grips door handle and Bryce's shoulder* "AHHHHHH!"
Bryce "Now I'm crazy dear." *Sh_t eating grin*
Bryce *Parks car and heads into store*

They're saying 20+" for here, not sure how much is out there now, maybe 5 or 6" of fresh snow.

Surprised we've had next to nothing in southern Ontario. Couple inches total I'd guess. 2-3 hrs drive north of here maybe a foot total. Usually we get 2-3 times this by now, sometimes more than that. Last year was like this, almost nothing, 2 and 3 years ago I'd had the snowblower out several times by Jan. Used it twice last year, have yet to use it this year.

It's all greased up and has fresh 0w30 in it though

You folks down south and out east need some snow. Here in West Michigan, we got about 2" the first part of December and none since. The weather man is talking about temps close to 50 by the week end!!!

Yea I just think there is a lot of energy that moves the cold air down to the states and you get our relatively warmer air. I think that's gonna be the pattern again.

It is really too tough to tell what the accumulations are, because it is blowing around like crazy. Currently, we have sustained 35mph winds and extremely heavy snow coming down sideways. Our front door has a snow drift outside it. Ny best guess is 4-5 inches currently on the ground and it looks to be coming down 2-3 inches per hour at the moment.

I am staying at home and relaxing with my friend Jim Beam. Best to just stay home and relax and spend more time with the family!

Are Jack and Johnny coming?

Did I mention I put in for this Monday vacation day over 6 weeks ago. Sha-weet!

My friend and I went out driving this afternoon to check out the new Altimax RT's; Not great, not bad.

Got the Toyotomi (obtained for free) fired up and just waiting for the power outage.

A few months ago the weather forecasters in the Toronto area were telling us we were going to get a very snowy winter that was going to hit us earlier than normal and hit us hard too, but so far we haven't even gotten enough snow in this area to break out the shovel yet. It seems to be a carbon copy of last year's winter so far, and we only got a grand total of 21 inches of snow for that entire season! It's actually been a very long time since this area got hit with a major snow storm, as far as I can recall we haven't had any major storms in almost two years now. (last one was late Jan to early Feb 2009)
