Beverly Hills Cop gets another sequel

It's been over 30 years since Beverly Hills Cop 3. And they've apparently brough back Taggart (who apparently lost a lot of weight) and Rosewood. Axel is apparently a Lieutenant now. and they bring back Paul Reiser and Bronson Pinchot.

Only on Netflix though.

It will probably be better than most of the stuff that comes out these days as long as the PC police don't squash it. We've got all this massively powerful special effects these days, but no one can write a decent new story. The only things that are any good these days are sequels and remakes.

Capitalizing on familiar titles and continuing story lines saves on marketing, for sure.
You gotta keep in mind that movie makers are forever catering to audiences which are less focused and arguably less savvy.
They spit out product and distribute it where they can.
Gone are the days of a single movie being shown on 3,400 screens nationwide for one to 6 weeks.

Watered down audiences, watered down product.

I didn't see any race or gender swaps in the trailer ... unusual for NetFlix .. it might be watchable.

My wife and I saw this last night on Netflix, it was really good. I did not like Beverly Hills Cop 2 and never saw the third one but this remake was surprisingly good. Even my wife liked it and she does not really care for action/police movies. This one was really done well with some great action scenes and a good story to go with them. There are some elements from the original in this one too. It was lot better than the Coming 2 America remake they did a couple of years ago.

Just watched it. It was almost as good as the first, better than the second, and way better than the third (which was a total dud.) They did a fantastic job of paying homage to the original movie.

Eddie Murphy flat out killed me laughing with Ben Stiller in a foolish movie called Tower Heist so I know we will enjoy this one.

We watched it yesterday. I only played games on my phone for maybe 20% of it, so it was pretty good.

It's crazy how well Murphy has aged compared to all the other actors in the series.
