Beverly Hills Cop gets another sequel

I also watched it. It was low OK. Several shoot em ups. A few funny wisecracks. Many painful to watch and listen to extended talks with Axel's estranged daughter. I don't regret watching it, but it had a true "made for TV" quality in script writing and some of the acting.

Was worth the watch, lots of fan service for sure, but if you liked the original, you'll find this one decent enough.

if you liked the original...you'll like seeing many of the original actors portraying their characters again...many of the old songs used too...if you are looking for realism...look elsewhere...but I thought it was a good watch...

I watched it last night and thought it was ok. Apart from EM, K. Bacon, and Taggert, I thought the delivery of the lines wasn't that great. Too "I'm reading from a script" type of delivery, not natural. The best line from EM for me was when they were putting him in the little police car and he referred it to a Fisher-Price toy! 🤣

Watched it last night. Thought it did a good job of walking down memory lane, while attempting to have a story of its own. Fast paced, so while some details are implausible... it's a movie, all the good action movies move too fast for you to think about if something is possible (or not).

I could see myself rewatching this, but while I think this one might be better than the second movie, I might be more likely to watch the second one. If I feel a need to visit the 80's, well both were from the 80's and have that vibe.

But the first? hard one to top. That one I watch every few months. This one, I just don't see that happening.

I've grown out of watching Eddie Murphy and his antics. I thought he was funny in the 80's but not so much anymore. Plus....corny shoot-em up cop comedies just isn't my thing anymore.

Did I detect some 'AirWolf' esq notes during the scene where they were messing around with the chopper? Anyone else notice that?
