Here in Maine we have about 6 months of winter, and 6 of sun/rain.

I've tried Anco leaf spring, Bosch, parts store specials.

What is the collective opinion here?

Thanks!

I think the Bosch quality went down years ago after they switched from Germany to China. The longest lasting wiper blades I've ever used were Valeos, which also was consumer reports top pick. In Colorado the high altitude and dry climate hammer wiper blades. I've only been able to get Valeo blades at Sam's club but am no longer a member after a tire snafu.

I am also in the Valeo camp for best and longest lasting wiper blades. I prefer the traditional frame style Platinum series Valeos over the beam style blades. They are readily available on RockAuto for most vehicles.

I see no reason to switch from PIAA silicone blades to something else. Silicone blades last the longest and deteriorate the least and don't smear as long as the glass is kept reasonably clean. Natural rubber blades wipe the best but only for a short period. I used to use blades that were made from synthetic rubber but with a natural rubber wiping edge.

Toyota OEM, then Valeo, Trico and Bosch in no order. Bosch has been making their “nicer”(Icon/Focus) blades in Serbia recently.

I have a set of Amazon-special Tricos on the van, I’m a little disappointed in them. Installed a set of Costco Michelins on a friend’s car, Made in Mexico.
