I have various jobs I use these for! Work great. Should I buy this one again or something different this time? I already have a mityvac that fills and extracts for bigger jobs so I don't need anything expensive. I used to buy the Cornwall and Mac tool truck ones. The matco one was the worst though!! Leaked all over on the first use. Tool truck guy told me I couldn't return, had to try another one and it did the same thing through the pump. TIA

Pela P.S. The Pela extractor I have sits upright on the floor and holds about 7 quarts of oil. Apprx $100 years ago.

I've got the plastic OEM Tools but there are numerous clones that look identical. I don't use them for engine oil often -- mostly ATF and p/s fluid.

I keep a dedicated one for brake fluid to suck out mc reservoirs.

I like them a lot, and I appreciate the clear plastic just for overall visibility. That said, they may be less durable? Not sure.

I have a metal one (brand unk) and it came supplied with a really flimsy hose that actually collapses under suction. Very annoying and I keep meaning to find a better hose.

Okay, so I ordered lincoln suction gun again. I ruined the last one after over two years by not rinsing it after removing gas from a snow blower that had been sitting for years. So I ruined the seals. Normally I fill it with water without disassembling it to flush it and have never had an issue! I flush with water after any fluid. I've also taken these apart and wiped them out but some of them refuse to go back together once apart. The seals grow in size.

Will report back if any issues arise with the quality of this one!

Suction gun worked!

Moved the gas from the predator 3500 to the honda fourtrax 300 and filtered with a fuel filtering funnel. The gas was part 10% ethanol and part ethanol free in the generator and now it's 100% ethanol free which is massively better for storage too.

I do have an ethanol % tester too so at a later date I will verify it's actually ethanol free. Watched a video on YouTube and some fuels are advertised as 0% in some states but are indeed 5% which is terrible for the price per gallon! Prior to 2022 indiana countrymark ethanol free was always $0.60 more per gallon than regular 87. After that it has always been $1.20 more!

I will use the gas quicker in the fourtrax 300. Also suction guned and filtered the gas from the snowmobile into the 1947 Ferguson TO20!

Also, I have a shake hose with a ball that moves back and forth and a spring to generate vacuum. Problably the single best transfer hose I've ever bought! Had it since 2012. Still works perfectly. Even used it when the washing machine died mid cycle and was completely full of water! I removed the water by attaching it to a garden hose.

The down side to it is you can never completely empty small gas tanks. That's where the suction gun works great even if it's not the best too. I do have a mity vac 7 quart transfer and remove oil tool! Best too for the money, however due to the static electricity you're not supposed to use them for gasoline. It's not worth the risk for me.
