It sure was a great deal! That'll make me feel not so bad about dumping it at 7500Km intervals. In fact I only do about that a year so the year will come first.

I wasn't aware of the GTL thing. I'll tell you how it goes this week.

The Shell 5W30's I saw didn't carry as many manufacturer approvals, I think the 5W40 is their premier product. Nothing wrong with the 5W30, but I got the 5W40 just like you did.

As I can see....they have changed their product a little bit...

Previously helix ultra was only in 5w40 grade (full saps)

and ACEA C3 (low saps) was known as ultra EXTRA in 5w30 grade.....now they are using word professional instead of extra for low saps oils....
