Best Hotdogs

I am partial to the Kirkland Signature Beef Polish Sausage from Costco. I grill them at home and with a brioche hot dog bun, mustard, onion and relish they are pretty good.(y)

I think there was a conspiracy to remove natural casing dogs from grocery stores, dunno why.
Hard to find around here but when I do, I buy them!!! Can't beat that "snap" when you biting down on it. When I visit my daughter near VA Beach there is a small stand that sells I believe is the hormel brand that they advertise as having the snap. They are ok but just not as good as Nathans.

Where I live, HEB has their own beef dog with jalapeno. Good, and its hot. Also like HN and Nathans.

I went to the one downtown. I had several family members that worked at Sam's clothing store down on the market and I would spent Saturdays prowling around some of the OLD stores in that area. Is Sam's still there? The brothers that ran it were always exceptionly nice and treated all of their employees very well.

I don't think that I ever tried the weiner stand out in Salem.
Sam’s downtown as far as I know is closed. They have been for sometime. Sign is still painted on the brick building though. Cool to talk to someone that’s been around this area before.

Don't know what "brand" they are but the food truck outside the nearby Menards has the best hot dogs I've ever had. I even asked the guy where he gets them but he wouldn't say. Someone said these food trucks are actually operated by Menards and it's the same at every store of theirs but I'm not sure that's accurate.

There's a funny Russell Peters stand up with hot dogs. His dad Being Indian kept calling them "Haud docs". He kept telling his dad " They're called Hot Dogs. " Ok whatever don't get fancy.

I’ve only had them one time while in Chicago, but it seems they like Vienna Beef dogs with the skin. I asked for double ketchup while I was there (not! The establishment did not have it and I think it said not to ask)

Ketchup!!! Heck NO!

When I was in Chicago many times for 2-3 months at a time in the 80s and 90s for training I used to chow down on those Viennas like they were candy for snacks Good dogs.
