So I am just about due my winter oil change on my Odyssey which just brok 100k miles. I have been feeding it Pennzoil Platinum for the past few OCIs with Carquest Blue filters. My OCIS are at every 7500 miles. I havent been keepin up lately on my oil talk as i have been working mega free overtime at work all summer. Is PP still the best everyday value/robust oil along with the Quaker State synthetic? P.S. I just purchased some 0W20 Redline to compliment the factory fill on my brand new Honda Pilot. I plan to use Carquest Blue filters as well unless someone suggests a better option.

I haven't checked out the quality of Carquest oil filters, so I can't be certain but I personally prefer to use the best of the best. Various high quality filters can be had on sale for up to 50% off of you wait for a good deal to come along and stock up.

Yep, You beat me to it. For everyday value QSUD is the best all around for the money. PP is great too but QSUD is cheaper usually, and is a Grp III-IV or full group IV. Carquest Blue are WIX Black filters or Napa Golds. Very high quality.

05Balzer, I using Mobil "Super Synthetic" as my value priced standard oil now. It's good for 7500K OCI's and that should fit your bill. Durango

Yes Quaker State is a great value, I use it in a 09 Civic and so far the best. Would suggest Honda Filter too as they are really good.

Not sure what you mean by "compliment"? Do you mean as an additive? Anyway to the original question, the best 20wt syn' values are the Japanese OEM 0W-20's from Toyota, Subaru, Mazda and Honda. Of the lot the Toyota is IMO the "best", just shop around for the best price.
