I would tend to agree. You can get many store brand oils cheaper, but with retailers switching suppliers often, it's nice to have a decent quality (QS) oil that you can find on a regular basis for not much more than generic brands.

Plus the green bottle is nice.

That's just it: these oils are so close to each other in terms of quality, that the choice often comes down to the bottle color; but I don't like the QS green bottle.

There really is no such thing at the best dino right?
Isnt the standard for GF4 qualification a test that runs all dino's and synthetics alike through a pretty regorus test? Enought of at test to really make the need for a synthetic a non-need? Therefore, even the weekest conventional (add pack wise) will do?

Almost every conventional oil brand may react differently in your engine. Some may be quieter - some may be louder-sounding. Some may be dirtier upon draining it - some may have sludge at the end of the drain. Some may consume more than others. Some may hold up longer - some may have shorter oil life. Some may sheer sooner - some may not sheeer much at all. Some get black on the dipstick early - some late in the OCI..... etc..... etc.

Nobody can give you a sound recommendation - or know the correct oil for your vehicle. You need to play your own trial & error... need to get UOAs afterwards. That's the best way to find the right oil.
