Best action shoot-out film ? honors goes to Heat IMHO..

You guys got me popping No Country for Old Men in the DvD player! Have not seen that in a while. I got a small collection.... about 200 DvDs in my man cave. Wife probably has about 60 or so of her type rom/com movies and lots of comedy stuff that we both like. A couple of killer ones we have in our comedy collection of totally stupid (always gets some belly laughs) movies is STRIPES & What About Bob.... Just so happens to both have Murray but Dryfus is funny as hell when he wants to be too. :ROFLMAO:
Oh, yes, NCFOM is a great one. 5 stars!

Since I don't think it's been mentioned in here yet, L.A. Confidential is a fantastic movie on many levels (all-time top 3 favorite of mine), and the end shootout is great. Russell Crowe is absolutely surgical with that shotgun.

That's not the full scene but any more would take away from a major plot point if you haven't seen it yet. I suggest you do.

Actually, if you haven't seen it yet, don't watch the clip at all and just see the movie. :)

Yep, got it my collection and seen it many times. It is a really good one. I think it has such a good story you can follow, that it falls off the violent list even though fists and bullets fly from start to finish.

'Quarry'...While this 1 season series has some impressive 'gunslinging' - it's a great show...No clue why it was never given another season.

It's similar to 'Ozark' where it gets the viewer thrust immediately into the action and it keeps you there throughout much of the series.

1. "Are you ready? Here come the PAIN." :D

Language inappropriate for embed of scene

2.

You know , wife n I saw this at theatre and I thought it was ok. Forgive senior moments. Can not recall much about the plot of that one at all.

Watching a Denzel film on cable now at 1:00am called Out of Time that I remember was pretty good thriller.

Never can sleep all night. I am up watching Tv on opposite side of house. Don't want to wake wife who works in morning.

Carlito's Way.

For whatever reason.. it must be a mediocre movie. all anyone ever remembers is.. Here come the PAIN! In a vaguely Scarface-ish character.. that's all.

Oh, and. Scarface.

Funny Action:
For 2 years....yeah, let's not go full retard and come up with the most outlandish and extreme situation we can think of.
Right . we got to laugh at everything instead of panic.

Tropic Thunder, Another foolish Ben Stiller movie said.... "You never go full retard! everybody knows that!" One of the most stupid, yet LMAO films in years. Robert Downey plays part of egomaniac, multi Academy Award winning Austrailian (full of himself ham actor) who gets his skin pigments turned dark so he can play an African American US Army Sergent in a Vietnam war movie spoof.

Carlito's Way. Another real good one with good balance. Believable story line with likely ending. Pacino more than other could always play good guy or bad guy parts to excellence.

Tropic Thunder was so funny.

Let's not get into Steven Seagal movies.. we want GOOD movies right 😀😀

There was a bit of a chase in a movie called Death Sentence. pretty good movie.

That black actress cop is tall. as is Kevin Bacon. From "Let's DANCE!" (sparkle in tooth) to...

Thought Pacino's characters in Scarface and Carlito's Way were very similar.

Growing up, given the choice of the two movies side by side, we always chose to watch Scarface.

So, maybe yet another unique memory situation of why I say that.

Wasnt Carlito's Way the one with "Benny Blanco, from the Bronx?" John Leguizamo .. Memory fuzzy.

I think so. Sound's familiar. Carlito's is one I do not have.

This movie was CRAZY but I liked it.

1990.

No realism but. Great movie.

Referenced Bernie Goetz incident, as did Joker 2019...

Scarface is always fun to watch. I think it still holds the record for the "F word" being used in a movie. Something like over 250 times. And who can forget the restaurant scene?...... "Me, I always tell the truth.... Even when I lie".
Yeah, I'd agree.. it is not the "best" movie but it is very very good. Whoever wrote it seems to really understand the drug game.

And the Porsche 928 has a tail light out.
