Bar soap: which one do you use?

Irish Spring, its cheap at Costco.
Same. Love the stronger smell of Irish Spring. When I was a kid, that Irish guy in the commercials sold me when he cut a slice out of a bar with a pocket knife so you could see the waves of green and white soap through and through. Cutting that soap with a pocket knife was an alpha-male move, so I'm sure it spoke to me subconsciously. And the chick loved it.

Btw, that other guy has Autin Powers' chest hair! LOL!!!

I got curious and found that some bars use solid detergents. The current Dove does. However, most are still traditional lye reacted with a fat like beef tallow or palm kernel oil. Dial, Ivory, etc are still lye soaps.

I just inspected all bathrooms for the current state regarding soap. To my dismay, other than liquid soap dispensers, I did found one unopened bar of Kirk's Original Coco Castile Pure Botanical Coconut Oil Soap. It must be the housekeeper's personal item since I surely didn't buy this. It doesn't smell too offensive but it's a bacteria trap and a potential breeding ground for MRSA. "Angela, we need to talk!" ;)

Have some of that Kirks soap, nice scent, lathers up real good in hard water. ;)

Just thinking of this after we started using Dove bar soap bought at Costco. They seem to use a solid detergent rather than real soap. We were previously using Dial Gold, which is a real soap. I haven't cleaned up (which is a pain even with bathroom cleaner that's supposed to dissolve it) all of the soap scum, but it seems that it's not developing any new soap scum.
