These don't seem to be a poplar brand of oil filters but I love them. Filter was ran 5,211 miles with Pennzoil 5W-20 Yellow bottle. I just hit 100,000 miles with the car this past Thur and it has been absolutely trouble free. I also changed the air and cabin filters with Baldwin replacements.
The car is out of warranty now so a multi-brew of oil went back in.

Looks very good. Baldwin and Hasting make very good oil filters but they are not available at most local stores, only online. That why they are hardly talk about.

What they said, Baldwins are highly regarded here but don't get much talk because availability for auto applications isn't very good.

I was in a local Fastenal store a couple of days ago and I saw that they carry Baldwin filters. A couple of months ago, I heard an advertisement on TV of a NAPA store that sells Baldwin filters.
However, in both of these cases, I suspect they carry Baldwin only because the Baldwin factory isn't too far away from where I live.

I agree with this. If I lived in a warmer climate, I probably wouldn't care as much. But, since I live in Ohio and it is 100 degrees in the summer and -10 degrees F in the winter, I will stick with filters that have a silicone ADBV. Otherwise, this looks like a good filter.

Thanks for sharing!

Other than nitrile ADBV, I think Baldwin filters are better construct than most mid-range filters such as Wix, Fram Tough Guard, Bosch Premium ...

baldwin makes great filters..... they are just hard to find for some people...

I know techs whom swear by Baldwin and trust them in anything.

Why??

Why not,,
I never run a particular brand of oil in my car, I purchase whatever is on sale. I had some leftovers from previous oil changes so I created my frankenbrew.
My previous Civic (2001 model) I ran to 330,000 miles doing the exact same thing before selling it to my brother in law. He wanted it to teach his son to drive manual transmission. My nephew is approaching 400,000 miles on it now and tells me it still does NOT burn a drop of oil between changes.
