I figured I'd post these since I couldn't find anyone else who has sooo this is the baldwin b7449 it is the replacement for the fl500s I decided to chop up an old one and see what it looked like and sorry bout the dirt I dropped it while cutting it open and I'm no pro on filters or anything but looks pretty good to me

Basic info that I know it has a coil spring, rubber anti drain back, 20 psi bypass, and has 46 pleats in the filter which roughly 207 inches of filter media, plus Clarcor is USA made so that's a plus

Thanks. This is exactly like the Baldwin B161-S that I use sometimes but with M20x1.5 thread. I've been meaning to post pictures of it but haven't gotten around to it.

after viewing this i may purchase a baldwin, i would have to order from amazon , as far as i know they are not sold locally

They are for some, If you have a farm outlet store(JD,CASE IH,etc. ) in your area they will carry them or can get them next day.

I buy mine locally from Grainger. They list four stores in WV; Charleston, Huntington, Parkersburg and Morganton.

From a construction standpoint, Baldwin filters are top notch. But from a filtration standpoint, they are nothing special. If their efficiency ratings were a bit higher they would be a fantastic buy.

Any Kenworth dealer can get them as well.

Nice looking filter. I've never used a Baldwin, primarily because they don't seem to be widely available and the ones I've seen on Amazon for my applications tend to be more expensive than the equivalent Wix and Fram Ultra. Thanks for cutting & posting.

I use baldwin on my 2014 f150 5.0 and a 2007 caterpillar d5g lgp and having great success taken all of them apart and never had any kind of questionable issue or problem very well built
