Is Quaker State (Pennzoil) Multi-Vehicle ATF compatible with GM Part No. 88900925 (T-IV ATF)?

My owner's manual says to use ESSO LT71141 only, while my local GM service department says to use the GM part number listed above, which is T-IV ATF (at a hefty $20 per quart)!
Instead of all this hassle I'm hoping a find a 'universal' ATF that's readily available and reasonably priced.

You can get the LT71141 fluid from a VW dealer for approx. $12 - $15 per liter if you're intent upon using the OEM fluid. It is a longlife fluid and will easily last 50,000 to 75,000 miles.

However, the Pennzoil and Quaker State multi-vehicle ATF do claim to be compatible with the LT 71141 fluid and are a much more economical choice if you're going to do more frequent drain intervals.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, guys.

Couldn't find either Penzoil or Quaker State multi-vehicle AFT at AutoZone, O'Reilly, Napa, or CarQuest.
Did find SuperTech Multi at Wally World....hopefully this is made by Penz/Quaker.
Anyone know for sure??
