says won't work in a completely dead battery, define "completely" dead battery, and whats the point if it won't in a completely dead battery, it kind of defeats the purpose no?

A "completely dead" battery typically refers to a battery with a voltage below 1 volt, which is too low for most jump starters to detect and activate

However, this doesn't mean jump starters are useless.Jump starters are still effective for batteries that are severely discharged but not completely dead. Most car batteries that won't start a vehicle still have some residual voltage, which is enough for a jump starter to work

Some advanced jump starters have features to overcome this limitation:

Manual override: Certain models allow you to force-start the jump starter even with a completely dead battery

Boost/charge function: Some jump starters can push a small charge into the battery to raise its voltage enough for jumping

In most cases where a car won't start due to a battery issue, the battery isn't completely dead, just too weak to turn the starter. Jump starters are designed for these common scenarios, making them a valuable tool for most battery-related starting problems

This model jump starter says for battery that are sitting at less than 2 volts you have to press the red button for 3 seconds to activate the force start mode.

dead is dead but
for anyone who missed it set a SD alert for avapow
the same deal was posted on 11/17, 11/21 and then now again on 11/29 I believe each only lasted for approx 6 hours.

I ordered one too. Forcing to start a dead battery is probably not good for the personnel, battery and subsequent alternator diodes.

I bought a Jump n Carry 660 last year, have used it a few dozen times. When I'm headed out to work and it's cold, I toss it in with my gear. Almost always something that isn't starting.
Sucks killing half the day just heating and fighting with the equipment that needs to be running to do work.
