Project Farm - Tests Jump Starters

I like Project Farm and his testing. And NO, I don't take anything the Todd test as gospel, just a guideline. And, it's better than anything I can do or am willing to do/try or pay for my$elf. However YES, I do have my own experiences & preferences with many products as do we all.

Not in this thread(yet)...I do take exception on those who criticize Todd for the way he does much of the testing because again, it's only a guideline and I don't see anyone who criticizes, showing a better way to do the testing. I don't care if PF is a YouTuber. YouTube is our friend. Well, mine anyway!

Also at any time, we could get different results with any top rated any product. I myself have purchased product(s) and have had different results when purchasing that same product again. The reason that I'd purchase a product again is due to having good results/success with that product, only to be disappointed with that same item(s) the next time around.

This could happen with car batteries, wiper blades, tires or even your favorite car brand, OPE, tools etc.

Comes down to what he/they decide to test.
He’s going to draw more criticism with attempts to test lubricants (on this site) instead of testing adhesives with the same material - then stacking weights to failure point …

I want to talk about the tests, not the dude. He's entertaining and frankly hard working.

OK Why didn't he test the popular TackLife T8 and T8Pro?

Did he mention charging these? Some have a port for a 12V wall transformer/rectifier but don't come with the charger! Charge only in the car? If the car has a cig lighter? ODD.

My tacklife I just rigged a bench power supply at 12V and charged hooked to the cig lighter input cord - that way but still might buy a 12 wall pak for ease. I mean what the actual heck???

No idea if it will turn the cars over, bought it for my 9500 Predator back up starter.

I usually like his experiments, but that video was difficult to watch. He was talking so fast and the editing almost made me dizzy. With how cheap you can buy a jump starter now, it is worth it to carry on long trips or in the trunk to jump someone else's vehicle instead of connecting jumper cables to your own car.

I bought the Gooloo GP 2000 that was featured in a previous video. I've used it on a friend's car and it worked quite well. Of the tests he has done on various products, these are the most real world based. These tests are best at exposing what the starters don't do well. I did watch videos and read reviews from multiple sources before making a decision, but PF was helpful.

Does that one come with a wall charger?

He tests products based on subscribers suggestions. Maybe he’ll test the ones mentioned here in year 2023.
PF usually makes sure every item is fully charged and mentions on the first test that the BRPOM is fully charged(:56 sec) as well as others throughout the test.

Power went out again today. Did not know for how long so before wife panics on Christmas get the genny started….

But out of the blue chineseum battery flat. Hooked up this pup which I had not charged since 2020 or so. Started right up.

The plug in charger is still stuck at the post office
