If you are using Auto-Rx you are already getting a freebie, meaning you do not have to spend the money for a new engine, you get better gas mileage, smoother running engine, less junk on your spark plugs, slightly cooler running engine temperatures, and you do not have to spend money on any worn parts in your engine because if you are using this wonderful product motor oil is getting to every part of the engine that needs lubrication. If you can find anyone in the United States that has a 1983 Chevrolet model with a 305 V8 and has 356,000 miles and does not burn oil, have blowby, and has less contaniments than mine I would like to see it, I thought this engine was done at 343,000 miles, I contacted Frank and the car runs better now than when I bought it, before Auto-Rx my Dad drove my car and said it is time to say goodbye too your engine, took him for a ride a month ago and I said what do you think now, should we say goodbye too this engine, he did not say a word, his expression was worth more than a free bottle, my results are so excellent that I think that the price is a bargain in my book, of course I have headers and a dual exhaust on my 83 Chevy but unless you have a Corvette you are going to have a hard time keeping up, I had a guy behind me the other night and when the road went to 2 lanes for a mile he gave me the finger as he went by me, I hit the accelerator and passed him, he hit the accelerator and came close, I floored it and my speedometer was pegged at 85mph and my rpm's were at 4700, I had to have been doing about 110 or 120 mph, he was 15 car lenghts back, he had a new chevy truck with a V8, my point is that before Auto-Rx I could only get the car up too 80 mph, I got my freebies from blowing that truck off the road and my Dad's expression after driving him in the car, by the way I am on the Maintenance Dose, I GET MY FREEBIES EVERY TIME I DRIVE MY CAR.

Wow that's a lot of miles. Good to know. My Dad has a 2000 Dodge Grand caravan that is going to get good use of Auto-RX.

138,000 miles and lots of carbon and carbon flakes. PCV was clogged up as well. I am going to run two doses of Auto-RX.

The first clean phase was aborted. It had 1800 miles on the clean phase. I am doing some timing cover water hose replacement. The oil in the pan was pretty bad after the drain. I could see the RX was softening up some of the carbon.

I will be replacing the timing chain and gears then will maybe do a short rinse "400 miles" to flush out some of the junk. Then I will change it out and run a full rinse, then continue the other cycle of Auto-RX.

Hmmmm 1983 (the height of power reducing emission equipment), 305 Chevy with dual exhausts and headers needs a Corvette to keep up with him? Tell you what,I'll put a brick under the gas pedal of the Corvette, and only use 3nd and fifth gears and I bet I will still blow your doors off-on a closed track of course

Steve, maybe the Corvette thing may be a little too much of an exaggeration, but, the car no longer has any emission stuff on it except the PCV, and putting a dual exhaust on a car that had a single exhaust is a difference since I had 1 pipe that went underneath the oil pan and went up on a 45 degree angle too meet the other pipe which went down to the single exhaust, the car was a slug, now when I talk about a corvette I am obviously talking about an 83 Corvetter definetly not 1 of the newer ones, what Auto-Rx has done for this engine is absolutely amazing, no air pump or A/C on the car too rob any power, no emission carb or emission distributor and no EGR, also no heater core, also Auto-Rxed the transmission and it shifts fantastic.

yup...and if I had a business I would not use that as a "it works" since they breaking the law (aka lack of safety), immature etc.

I'd go with imagination.
Those 305 Camaros were slow as molasses. The standard Camaro came with a 150 HP motors and the Z/28 came with a 190 HP motor.

I agree, but the Camaro's had a single exhaust with a catylytic converter and cast iron manifolds and all that emission equipment, I know it is hard too believe but let a 305 breath and do an Auto-Rx on the engine and trans and you have a fairly potent motor, I also put an oil pan on that has trap doors and also put a windage tray and crankshaft scraper on it too, also those Camaro's had 200R4's as opposed too my Turbo 350. If you are ever down my way I will take you for a ride.

No way man. That [censored] sounds scarey

Can we go back to English class for the proper use of to/too/two???

How about using periods instead of commas?

I agree... it's "testimonies" like these that make people laugh at products like Auto-RX. Even if the results are real, the situations and conditions are laughable.

I meant you can go for a ride in the car and if you want you can drive it yourself, English was not my best subject. I have done a better job of keeping a vehicle on the road for 25 years.

ARX is a fine product, but it cant turn an underpowered engine into a performance machine,no matter what headers and oil pan you put one it.Small blocks of that era had low compression with low lift/duration camshafts not to mention the restrictive intake and smog carb.To get any sort of performance out of that motor would require basically a total rebuild using different cam, heads, carb and pistons.I think its quite possible ARX cleaned the rings and restored the original compression making it seem like it has a lot more HP than it really does.

Frank as a happy A R/X user why is it a bottle per 4 to 6 qt sump but 2 bottles for a Ford Powerstroke engine which has a sump capacity if 15 Qts + about 2 in the HPOP system total 17 qts? Also shouldn't the maintainance dose be 3 times the amount for a 5 qt. sump?

Steve S,

I think the diesel application calls for 2 X 12 ounce bottles of ARX. At that level in a Power Stroke diesel the cleaning performance has been quite good. I also think that diesel or soot type deposits clean up more easily than some deposits formed in gas burners. With regards to running a maintenance dose in a PSD, I would think that 4-6 fluid ounces would provide good results, in previously cleaned motor.

It has an aftermarket intake and an aftermarket carb, Car Craft did a test of a 305 and with hte stock exhaust it was 145 horsepower, add headers and it was 197 horsepower, aftermarket intake and you are up too 216 horsepower, now who knows how dirty this engine was but with some Auto-Rx a few more horsepower, clean up the trans with Auto-Rx and you have a little power, but seriosly one day a 350 will be going in with Air Flow Research Heads or maybe an LS3, who knows, I do not want anyone to think that I think I have a performance engine, but from the way it was before to the way it is now it is fun too drive and that is all that matters to me.

I had an 86 Chrysler Fifth Avenue with a 316in it. I LOVED THAT CAR. And let me tell you right now that when it was running good that thing was a monster. I ended up having to get rid of it in order to purchase a truck for work but [censored] I miss that car.

I have ARX in my truck now and it is too early to tell if it will make any improvements but I guarantee you that if I still had the 5th avenue and ARX does what it did for C3PO then I could easily take on a Camaro. The car was just sooooo smooth and responsive on its good days

Reishi,

I am not familar with a 316. Is that a 318 or 360 cubic inch mopar?

C3PO's Camino ride has been documented pretty well. The amount of contaminants flushed out of that 305 using ARX, may be the leading contender for the Guiness book of records regarding full filters. Keep that Camino going, love to see them still running around.

Rick, if it had been anyone else I bet they would have put in a 350 when the mileage got over 300,000 miles, but the engine always starts up and goes, when I started Auto-Rx I would never have imagined all of the oil filters I went through, finally had a chance too cut them all open and realized why they were heavy, they still had oil inside and the filter media was black meaning the filter media was full and the oil had no where to go I guess, but 1 day soon a 350 will be going in the El Camino, in my area the most mileage I have ever heard of on a 305 is 280,000 miles, would love too get up to 400,000 miles on this engine, without Auto-Rx I doubt the motor would have lasted much longer, I remember when I had my buddy help me out on a new oil pump before Auto-Rx and it took a long time to build up pressure, interestingly at the end of my 1st Maintenance Dose which of course I went through 3 oil filters the last 1 did not have any black junk on the filter media, hopefully I have cleaned everything out.

Yeah Rick, I think it may have been a 318. It has obviously been a few years but the moral of the story was that the car was a monster regardless of all the economy add ons that it had in it. If I still owned the car and ARX worked as good for me as it did for C3PO then I am certain it could have taken on anything that approached it.

I brought that up because everyone was banging on C3 because he was "exaggerating" his cars power and performance. I just wanted to testify to the fact that perhaps some of the memories of engines from the 80's have become distorted over time. A lot of those engines had a ton of power tucked away and I rode my 5th well into 200,000 miles. I bought it at a little over 110,00 and am certain it suffered from sludge build up but if it was able to perform like it did when it was gunked up then I can only imagine what it could do when it was clean.

Again, I want to state that I have no idea what ARX is capable of because I am only 500 miles into my first clean phase. However, if it could do for my Chrysler what it did for C3 then I think I would have had one [censored] of a ride.
