Auto related draw to Tennessee

 I suppose N.C. didn’t get the memo! We just landed a huge deal from a collaboration of Toyota and Panasonic for a ev battery manufacturing plant in Randolph county with “help” from the state, county, local utilities etc. Same for a new startup supersonic airliner manufacturer called “Boom Supersonic“ (think small version of the Concorde) that will be located at the PTIA in Greensboro, N.C. Having Honda Jet already manufacturing their corporate jets at the PTI airport was most likely an incentive for Boom Supersonic to locate in N.C. as well. Both companies will create high paying manufacturing jobs but not without a bit of corporate welfare thrown in which it seems is a necessary evil nowadays.
Plus Honeywell moved their global HQs to Charlotte, and they have commercial aviation avionics businesses.

Different interpretations I guess you can say since terry's post is in an automobile factory thread ...
All good man and you did know, when talking factories in general (non automotive) your state pays around the same. It just sounded kind of like a knock on TN, (at least that is the way I read it) when using your source, the wages in AZ was in the same range and most likely the rest of the country too.
Also average wages of all sources are the same between TN and Arizona.

Using your zip recruiter source, Im pleasantly surprised, even shocked South Carolina, the average income is so much higher in the top 15 for the country, just a few steps behind NY... and ahead of CA. (just talking here, seriously surprised! Im usually up to date on this stuff, I don't think zi recruiter is the source of all sources but nice to seee SC ahead of much of the country or maybe it is because so many companies are moving here)

I mean to be fair, $12 isn't accurate for AZ either as that's been our minimum wage for some time and it just went to $12.80, and nobody here is going to show up for a factory job for that.
