the tts is HOT, but the wife says its too small. i wonder how that highly compressed di engine will look as far as carbon buildup goes after, say, 50k miles....i keep my cars basically forever, i am not so sure that the engine on a tts will last that long. any of you think it, on average, it would make it to 250k miles before a major overhaul would be required? even 150k? even 75k???
so if true about the bmw 335i, imho, that pretty much puts it on the do not ever buy list. with the high rate of high pressure fuel pump failures on those engines and with carbon buildup, once out of warranty, thats a money pit. i know bmw extended the warranty for the hpfp, but that was only for 2007-2008 models and i know that 2009's are failing in as little as 700 miles.
on a semi-different note, i know that infiniti (nissan) is getting ready to turn the vq37 into a di engine (m series first). that should give it what, 12%-15% better hp and mpg? since they are one of the last to do so, it has given them lots of time to study what others have done well and done bad in regard to design.
