Sounds like you were able to make a deal. If you got over KBB for the old Jetta, it just shows that ultimately the paint blemish did not "substantially impair" the value of the car.
Absolutely. It was never about value to is though.Sounds like you were able to make a deal. If you got over KBB for the old Jetta, it just shows that ultimately the paint blemish did not "substantially impair" the value of the car.
Probably had it fixed the next day.Sounds like you were able to make a deal. If you got over KBB for the old Jetta, it just shows that ultimately the paint blemish did not "substantially impair" the value of the car.
No, they sold as is. No reason not too, most buyers would never notice.Probably had it fixed the next day.

Any time sweetheart
As you likely know at this point, I did "deal" with it and got a new car.I’m a bodyman and work in a shop across the street from a VW dealer. We are always doing paint work to new cars before they are sold or even right after they are sold. Deal with it because your not getting a new car.
You miss the point completely.I hope you drive for 500,000 miles and never, ever, get a paint chip from a small rock or parking lot ding from someone opening a door, or it will drive you completely mad. That, or just simply keep your shiney car in your garage forever as a piece of artwork. Glad the drama is over for you.
Yes. They offered out a whopping 10% or was it 15%. It’s not like VW just said oh hey Greg, here is a brand new Jetta because you found a flaw in it 3 months after you bought it.As you likely know at this point, I did "deal" with it and got a new car.
