Changed the ATF+4 in my 2004 Dodge Ram 4x4 pickup along with the tranny filters. Drained about 6 quarts. I thought the fluid also ran through the transfer case. But looking through Manual it seems it has to be changed separately. Does the transfer case fluid flow into and mix with the rest of the tranny fluid? My truck's an automatic.

Yep, takes atf+4. Same as tranny.

I think I may of overfilled tranny fluid but not sure. I thought I measured how much was drained (by pouring into jugs). Dipstick tough to read, looks like top two holes are filled but the rest of the stick looks dry. I guess it's cause the fluid is thin. But towards bottom of stick there's a thick section of fluid hanging on.

Make sure you take out the "fill" plug before you remove the drain plug. They can be a pain on the dodges and you want to be sure you can fill it before you drain out all of the fluid.
