ATF for Nissan 5-spd auto

I have a 2008 Quest minivan with the 3.5VQ motor and 5spd auto. Manual says use only Nissan K-Matic. We are at 55k miles on the vehicle, powertrain warranty expires @ 60k.

I am tempted to run some Auto-RX for a few thousand miles, then switch to Amsoil ATF. Sound like a good plan? I'd like to "do it once, do it right" and never worry about it again

I wouldn't do Auto-Rx in the transmission. Just do a drain and fill with Amsoil ATF, drive for 500-1000 miles, drain, drop the pan replace filter, clean magnets, put new gasket on refill with Amsoil ATF drive it until your next engine oil change interval and then do one more drain and fill and most of your fluid should Amsoil.

I can get to the ATF cooler lines pretty easily, was considering attempting a true "flush" with new fluid while vehicle was running. Worth the hassle?
