10 -13.5$ now (here anyway).
I might have a few yrs on ya as I remember the 25¢ smokes'n 25/gal gasoline (mid '60s?)
You housed some of our (from the N & NE) small industries B4 the flight abroad - furniture, Gardner, MA; shoes Brockton, MA (google it) as I recall. Currently a few big industry (cars) your way.
Worse, we had the world by the short hairs in tool & cutting (machines that make machines) from the Industrial Revolution till early '70s when 1/4ly stocks & arbitrage did the same (sent it offshore) - that's 300 yrs. All's left is a few aerospace machine shops (from those skills). The rust belt here (cloth mills of Lowell, Lawrence; 'paper city' - Holyoke, is as poor now as E. LA, Harlem'n Carrizo Springs). The multinationals have no sense (but cents). Its 50 yrs of the same starting back then.
