Are you OLD.

The first 8 track I bought with my own money was REO Speedwagon A Decade of Rock and Roll. I wore that one out on a cheap under dash 8 track player in my '72 Chevelle. Later on I bought Styx Equinox and Journey Infinity on 8 track.
My first 8 tracks were The Guess Who and James Gang LIVE @ Carnegie Hall.
LOL Wife + I started to call our local classic rock station "the Journey station!" its all they seem to play over and over.

A website that finally properly describes the family room in my old house. That carpet was so fluffy, you could sleep on it just fine.

My father was an insurance agent.I still remember the sound of his adding machine. I remember getting rolls of S&H green stamps after a purchase from the grocery store, and filling in the booklets with the promise of some mail-order item. I remember sitting in the driver seat of my dads Nash metropolitan, pretending to drive.

I remember how much we laughed and carried on when the Metropolitan hit the show room. Still laughing.

AM/FM radio in my '64 Bug. Had to get a 6 to 12v convertor to run the radio as the Bug was 6v. They actually sold them back then. Did not care about hum and whine, I had wheels under my butt and tunes. WNEW FM from NYC until I could afford 8 tracks.

My first album was meet the Beatles and then the Dave Clark 5.
I think my first album was a children's haunted house record my dad brought home to my sister and I when we were both sick at the very same time. Then I remember we asked our mom to buy us the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack after hearing the Bee Gees on the radio (all that played rock or pop was AM back then). I also remember our aunt and uncle giving us the Star Wars soundtrack. By then I was probably around 6 or 7.

Ive experienced 100% of these at 56.

Another thing you can go back in time was parents smoking in the cars with the windows rolled up in the winter.

The kidney removal scars at 45 put an end to my dream of being a model......
