My first 8 tracks were The Guess Who and James Gang LIVE @ Carnegie Hall. The first 8 track I bought with my own money was REO Speedwagon A Decade of Rock and Roll. I wore that one out on a cheap under dash 8 track player in my '72 Chevelle. Later on I bought Styx Equinox and Journey Infinity on 8 track.
I actually have a Sony 8-track recorder component deck from the 1960s. Has a real walnut wood case. Still works! My mom brought it home to me back when I was maybe in the 9th grade. She'd found it in thrift store.I confess. I had several 8 track tape players. Actually used to install them in friends cars.
I remember how much we laughed and carried on when the Metropolitan hit the show room. Still laughing. My father was an insurance agent.I still remember the sound of his adding machine. I remember getting rolls of S&H green stamps after a purchase from the grocery store, and filling in the booklets with the promise of some mail-order item. I remember sitting in the driver seat of my dads Nash metropolitan, pretending to drive.
Silently lurking.
I know and lived all those things. I am not old.
What am I?

My first album was meet the Beatles and then the Dave Clark 5.My first 8 track tape was Traffic’s, “Low Spark of High Heeled Boys”. These were Winwood’s best years with Spencer Davis, Blind Faith and Traffic. He, along with many others, went down the pop path in the 80’s.
I wish!Are you Young?
I think my first album was a children's haunted house record my dad brought home to my sister and I when we were both sick at the very same time. Then I remember we asked our mom to buy us the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack after hearing the Bee Gees on the radio (all that played rock or pop was AM back then). I also remember our aunt and uncle giving us the Star Wars soundtrack. By then I was probably around 6 or 7.My first album was meet the Beatles and then the Dave Clark 5.
I'll be 63 in May and yes, unfortunately, I recognize and have seen all of these during my lifetime. Most of those pics bring back the most wonderful memories.I can relate to about 95% of these pics.
