I change every 6 months and have two UOA on this site that are close one of 9500 and one of 10,000 miles. The rest are usualy less then that. I do not care if I only go 3000 miles or if I go 20,000 miles dureing that 6 months I do not change any sooner unless I should do a Auto-RX treatment or have to work on it.

wife's car from when was single, I would she drove it like she stole it when it brand new. does not a single drop of oil
hx: castrol dino till 50k then M1 5k to 8k till 120k till wally's up their price for oil change for M1
now I do my 3k changes with any cheap dino/semisyn from my 300 qt stash (ispired by tallpaul ma dino hero)

My buddy keeps forgetting to change the oil in his 1998 Honda CRV, so I've convinced him to at least use synthetic (GC or Esso XD-3 0W-30). I've done 3 oil changes in the last 3 years on the CRV, ranging from 18,000-24,000 km (11,250-15,000 miles). No UOAs, but so far so good... I think.
Working on 1st 10K OCI. 2006 Avalon w/25K at changeover to Schaeffer's full syn 5W30. I'm going to submit a sample UOA at 5K, in about 2-3 weeks, just to see how the car is handling it. I will probably settle on 6 mo OCI rather than try to keep track of mileage. Mileage will probably be 9-9.5K at 6 mo.
tC is at 7K miles on Amsoil 0w20, will be sending it for UOA at 10K and change it if recommended. It sat for 1 month, plus seen few weeks of short trips. The rest is long trips and 40 mi commutes.
Surprisingly oil is still dark honey brown even with 3 oz of ARX in the mix. Don't know if it's EaO helping in filtering or just "normal" for a new car.

All but a few of the OCI's on my 2003 Mitsu Outlander have been 10-15k mi runs varying from 8-12 mo on various Amsoil products (ASL 5w-30,original recipe AFL 5w-40, TSO 0w-30, and AFF 0w-40). Now at 72.5k engine still runs like new, and is clean as a whistle when peering through oil fill hole into valve cover. My car gets less miles put on these days so I've shortened up my drains and am using up some of my dino stash.

99 Civic gets it down about every 10K. Started using PP but have switched to Amsoil now. Vehicle sees plenty of city miles but gets to stretch its legs on longer trips. Makes me wonder why people even bother at 3K miles?

The answer is no/yes. Before I found out that he wasn't changing his oil, all of the changes were with dealerdino. The OCIs were probably 20,000ish Km.
Frequently the oil would drop 2 or more litres before someone would top up the oil. When I took over the maintenance
I switched him to GC, then XD-3. So, the three changes quoted above were synthetic.

I forgot to mention, the patina on the dipstick was amazing. A copper colour on the tip, which progressed up the stick in a gradual gradation to "black as [censored]" sludge. I wish I had taken a picture.
The 1991 Mercedes 420SEL is well over 10K (on the way to a 15K OCI) using Amsoil AME 15W-40...
Chickened-out and changed the 10W-30 PP in the SVX just last Sat: it had well over 8K on it but I figured that since I had two PP 6 quart changes just sitting in the garage (@ $.99 per quart after rebates) it might be a good time to change. Just averaged 27.8 mpg on the last trip up North of Seattle (on regular gas) so I'm not going to mess with anything else until I see the mileage start to deteriorate.
Well, I will change the coolant, clean the K&N, put air in the tires and check the halogen in the headlamps... Maybe I will go to 10K OCI's after I hit the magic 160K point.

Nowadays I can't change my oil at home (unless I buy ramps, which I'd have trouble storing), and thus can't fiddle with my car much at all. Somehow, like the wallflower girl at the dance once the really hot chicks have gone home, the 1-year OCI is becoming oddly attractive.

About 10 times on my 2000 Cirrus V6. Last 4 changes were with PP5w20 and prior to that it was M1 0w40. I sold the car 2 months ago with 148k miles on it and it did not burn a drop.
My wifes 07 C280 4matic has 25k miles on it and I ran 13k and a 12k change so far. Its a lease so I am just doing what is nessasary.
I just bought a 05 Sequoia that I am going to run 3 changes of 1k each on conventional to flush everything out and then run PP or M1 with 10k changes.
