Are there any good aftermarket MAF sensors?

SMP (standard motor products) would be a reliable aftermarket choice.
I don't know if they make anything, make some things, re-brand others or what.... But I've bought a vent purge valve for our Civic and a vent solenoid for my G35, both SMP boxed, and both were made in Japan. I'd like to think they were manufactured by Denso, Hitachi, etc.

My Explorers both have SMP MAF sensors and no issues.

On the 94 the seller told me it needed a MAF sensor when I bought it. I assumed they were guessing, but the MAF sensor did indeed fix it.

On the 97 I was shot gunning parts at it hoping I wasn't dealing with a dying fuel pump (I was, now fixed), but the new MAF sensor works fine.

when I received my fuel injectors from them, it did say "made in usa". did some digging and they manufacture their injectors in south carolina. With their "intermotor" brand they're usually re-boxed oem supplier brands like denso, hitachi, etc.. Once in awhile I've found it says "made in china", that was the a/c relay I bought from them, but still working fine after I think it's 5 years.. that's what I've found for my civic..

Standard brand ICM's and coils don't last long on my 92 Cavalier. They are junk IMO. The last ICM left me stranded 30 miles from home.

I confirmed the one second ecm controlled after shutdown burn off. No matter, the bottom line is unless you are sure of the type of sensor and have readings showing the maf not to be working properly it is best to leave it in peace. Trying to clean them is a Hail Mary IMO.

No OEM Hitachi available for a 2001 Grand Prix with a 3.1 L motor.
So do you think the WVE would be a good one for my car?

hey.. I just was looking at the Genuine GM part and the WVE.. They really do look identical. The Standard Motor Product's one didn't look that great.. I'm usually a supporter of SMP, but not this time. I think the WVE might be something you take a chance on and it should be good. I can't tell the future but I've seen enough junk out there lately and this WVE didn't look like that.. I liked how it looked. (y)

I know in another thread you were talking about the MAF for your Grand Prix.. Refresh my memory, what happened with the old one? Did you try and clean it or is it just dead?

Motorcraft, then Delphi, then Standard(BWD/Neihoff). I’m convinced all the parts store brands are supplied by SMP, and all the aftermarket stuff is similar.

Nothing but coming up on 110 K just trying to make a parts list of what's going to be a good part.

Delphi is the OEM for a lot of car makers. That's the one I always order for electronic parts like sensors and ICMs.

So just sort of researching, I guess. Maybe I shouldn't jinx the car..........
I did buy NGK plug wires, based on this group. Good reviews here and at Amazon.

Warranty Information:
3 Years/36,000 Miles From Rock Auto. That don't seem too bad. Is warranty handled through RA?
I have read here that RA is easy to deal with WRT warranty.
I know personally on a few items, and have read many times, warranty through Amazon, Forget about it! Amazon passes the buck to the manufacture, and the manufacture passes the buck to Amazon!
Supposed to be 10-year warranty on Detroit Axle parts, Fellow in one of the Buick groups had just that experience.
Junk Anchor motor mount (from Amazon} lasted me all of 6 weeks, Whole big thing with the seller, were supposed to exchange it for me, decided I just wanted a refund, whole big run a round, I never got either! They wanted a picture, I sent a video, waste of time.
Did I mention don't gamble with Anchor motor mounts?

BTY a ~3/8" oak shim under the junk anchor front motor mount is a good solution until you get the new motor mount installed!
(Had a REAL bad vibration under acceleration due to the geometry of the RF axle! My bad vibration returned, that's how I knew the mount was no good again!}

Also.. looks like your version of MAF can definitely be cleaned.. CRC's MAF cleaner would work well.. But if it's dead cleaning won't help.. just mentioning it to get the most performance out of it.

and NGK wires are actually very good too.

oh.. and come on now.. don't jinx the car!!

Sometimes a bad MAF sensor can act like a Transmission issue too!

Yeah, I have some, another brand though. Have to dig up a tamper proof torx. I think I have one here somewhere.
BTY had to buy new magnets for the 4T65E trans pan. Lost the #$%^&ing accumulator gasket too. Just ordered another one of those. Don't ask me how I lose this stuff, I have no Idea, scatter brained, I guess!
Gasket was only $3.33 but still.
I'm still having another issue ATM though with this high idle, and when the high idle happens, I get a late shift.
It started happening again today.
