API cert & Schaeffer Mfg

I am new here but I have been lurking for a few weeks. It is kind of a fun place for oil folks. I have been trying to get Schaeffer 7000 5w20. The company and a retail place kept putting me off or so it seems. Then they both shipped me the
oil on the same day, July 1. Now, what is strange to me is that
on the API website, it shows Schaeffer Mfg certification expiring on June 21. I need the certified oil for the warranty on the car (09 Honda Civic) so it is a concern. Any thoughts?
I enjoy the site but not knowledgeable about oil.

The API takes their sweet time to write the letter and update their website. As I recall several companies last year had a 30 day window of waiting for the website even though they had approval in their possession.

Look at your lot # on the bottles. You may well have API certified oil in spite of the expiration of the certification.

That being said, I imagine that mpersell is correct.
