Anyone seen the new 2021 Ford Bronco in person?

I've sat in a couple at a dealership near me when the had the Broncos touring different dealerships in the region. The main competition is the Jeep Wrangler and to a lesser extent the 4Runner. All the Ford dealers get one or two demos FCTP vehicles. The latest hold-up is the hardtop which is manufactured by a third party vendor. Some peoples orders are being moved to 2022 MY.

Seen plenty it’s enough for me to run lol. Don’t like them at all. My friends 86 is much better. The new Maverick is nothing to write home about either. If someone likes it then that’s fine but it’s not for me. The only good things about them is the colors available.

I feel like half the posts here are incorrectly referring to the Escape-based Bronco Sport. The OP posted the new full-size Bronco, which I happen to really like but haven’t seen in person yet as they only started shipping them last week, I believe. Extremely capable off-roader at a pretty reasonable price. New SUVs that aren’t stripper models cost more than $20,000, it’s 2021. Ford is going to steal a bunch of the Wrangler market with these.

I had seen one at a local dealer and thought it looked like a steel wheel equipped jeep renegade or patriot. I was disgusted. But reading here it may have been the sport. I will reserve judgment.

Haven’t seen a new Bronco yet, but lots of Bronco Sport models (yes I know they are totally different). My opinion, they are both uglier than sin. I don’t know why Ford spent the money developing the Bronco when most of the market will gravitate towards the Jeep Wrangler anyway.

The Maverick is the only one I’d consider buying.

The factory HP rating for my 1975 Bronco is 135HP and is mated to a 3 On the Tree tranny with 3.55 gears.

A new Bronco with a turbo V6, factory lift, 35's, and beefy drivetrain is a disservice?

You guys are brutal. Have most of you even driven in an Early Bronco let alone own one?
The truth is that the new Bronco is nothing like the original Bronco, that model was simple, very tough, practical and durable, not to mention inexpensive to buy and cheap to maintain. The new model is none of those things. It's mostly a lifestyle vehicle for pretenders.

While my knowledge of 90s Explorer trim and moldings is probably excessive, I really do not understand how so many people are confusing the Bronco and Bronco Sport. I think Ford really underestimated how bad of an idea it was to give these vehicles such similar names. At the least, the "real" Bronco should have been the first to market by a few months.

What year Bronco did you own? You could say that about the Mustang, Camaro, Corvette, Wrangler, etc. as well. It's called evolution.
Modern vehicles do 100K between tune ups(which is just plugs now) and 10K mile oil changes. People don't do anything to vehicles these days. Seems simple and cheap to maintain to me.

As far as being tough, I think you're off base. There's nothing tough about a manual drum brake Dana 30 front and 28 spline Ford 9" in the EB.
The new Bronco has Dana axles and a 7 speed with a low gear and 95:1 crawl ratio, which is outstanding, all with a factory lift (no lift law violations in some states) and factory 35's with lockers. Who cares that some people will buy one for a lifestyle statement. The modern soccer mom drives a 4 door Wrangler. That doesn't make them any less tough.

I love my Bronco. It's a cool ride and it's worth a lot of money these days, however, the new rendition is going to be a blast and is ready to wheel right out of the box. I would have to rebuild half my Bronco to keep up. I think that's tough enough.

Jeep has been only player in the game. Ford wants some. I think the Bronco will do very well.
We already have a JL Wrangler Rubicon that we off-road with, but when its time to send our Durango down the road, we will check out the Bronco to replace it. I dont think I'd rock crawl with the Bronco, but I'd use it in the mountains and midwest trails.

The Ford Dealership I work for just got their first Bronco Friday Morning.

Man that thing is nice. $48k sticker doesn't seem too bad. Obviously, whoever ends up buying it or any Bronco, is going to be paying over sticker.

The one we got is a big bend with the sasquatch package, LED Headlights, Ford performance heavy-duty modular, and cargo area protector. It's Race Red on Medium Sandstone with Black Onyx cloth seats.

We can't sell it until it doesn't have 6k miles on it per Ford.

So, as of right now, it's going to be a service loaner and a car each salesman can take home.

We're probably going to add a bunch of accessories and whatnot to it before we sell it.

I hate the color and convertible top, but I'd still drive the wheels off that thing. I'll take a hard top blue one if it ever becomes reasonably available. Probably going to be driving 91-01 Explorers until it's just electric cars. 🤣

I think people are already getting the Bronco Sport and Bronco mixed up. It's going to be Cherokee / Grand Cherokee all over again. Who thought that was a good idea anyway?
It was a terrible idea calling both of them Bronco. This is going to be just as confusing as when people come to parts and say they have a Transit and I have to pry the VIN out of them to figure out if it is a Transit or a Transit Connect.
