To all who have these as pets, anyone ever been bitten? Funny thing, snakes, rodents, reptiles, etc don't scare me at all. But bugs and insects totally freak me out!! They scare me to death!!
I now have an l.e.d spotlight about a foot above the cage. It keeps it about 2 degrees warmer than that room. During the day it is about 73+ and at night 70+No heat lamp?! Interesting. I have a lamp on ours because I believe the expected "comfortable" temperature is higher than what I keep my house at during the non-summer months.

I've had many. Awesome, interesting pets.Mexican Red Leg. They require little work. You don't need to really clean their home. This one is quite docile. He crawled on my hand the second day I had him.
