Hi Everyone,
I really enjoy the General Auto and Mechanical/Maintenance sections on this forum and wondering if anyone knows a couple really good automotive site or forums where you get to hear about troubleshooting, maintenance, auto news, etc aside from here? Thanks!

Actually I go to fullsizechevy.com some (but not near as much as here...)
 
It depends. If you are looking for vehicle specific forums you can sometimes get lucky and find very good ones with knowledgeable members. Examples that I have personally been a member of are Ford Tempo, Ford Taurus, and Kia Sportage. Currently a member of a Suzuki Grand Vitara forum which is so-so. I've never been able to find a decent forum for Honda Civic. They're all full of teenage ricers and don't know nothings who think they know all.

As far as general automotive forums? Never found a decent one, except the one here.
 
thetruthaboutcars.com is my internet automotive news source.

Other forums I've used have been specific to a certain type of vehicle, and are only good for discussing details about that vehicle.
 
Looking at the car reviews on the truthaboutcars.com site, the 08 Focus got one a 1 star rating and the guy said only the Aveo is worse. Ouch!

iATN (international automotive technicians network) was the very first forum I join when I got on the internet 8 years ago,and I still go there several times a day.Over a 100,000 technicians around the world all helping each other fix cars.Best site I ever joined,I learned more there than the previous 30 years in the trade.But you have to be a working automotive technician to join.
 
Thanks for the recommendations. Wasn't looking for vehicle specific as I am already a member of s40concepts.org as well as the other various Volvo forums.

Will check out truthaboutcars and iANT.
