Any higher gas price than this?

So our much anticipated retirement travel plans should include a Prius and tent, not a truck and travel trailer so we can afford it?

Same light (1050lbs fully optioned) Kimbo Living camper pod, but a perfect representation of a truck Need VS. Want.
Bonus question:
guess which truck is from Texas?

Edit: That pod was originally made for a Tacoma with 6ft bed. https://www.kimboliving.com/details It used to cost $14,999 pre-pandemic. Supply shortages and inflation seem to have driven the starting price to $21,999. "Just the way the cookie crumbles."

Just done the math, 7.80 US $ / Gallon 95 Octan here in Munich.
Lately i saw 1.99 Euro / Liter for the 102 Octan. Thats 8.75 US $ / Gallon.
Thankfully, i use the train to commute to work.
I have to say if we had the public transportation that you have in Germany I would most certainly use it. I was stationed in Bamberg in 1980 and we went everywhere by train and/or bus. Some times we would take a taxi just to ride in a Mercedes but not very often.

Gas here was $2.99 most of the late summer and went up to $3.09 a few weeks ago.

Is that not the point of retirement? ;)
No, the point is to do what you want, when you want, how you want. When a Rivian will do 500 miles in a day in the Southwest pulling I'm interested.

So not enough truck and too much truck. What's the point? That little slide in wouldn't work for us and the two 50 lb dogs over a weekend much less a month. Where would wife sleep?

Gas has stabilized here at $3.45-3.49 right now. Would like to hope it will come back down after the holidays.
