There are no bad dogs...only bad owners...Barbara Goodall, but Caesar clearly embraces that philosophy!

My favorite episode was the one with Denise Richards - her three little dogs were terrorizing the house and any guests. After training the dogs, he told her to be the pack leader, to show the dogs who was in charge, not to put up with bad behavior.

To which she replied, "that's a lot of information..."

Caesar has said that he rehabilitates the dogs and trains the owners. I can't stand a bad owner. The episode with Jeanie Buss is pretty good:

Kind of funny with a misbehaving Maltese. I haven't seen the show with Denise Richards, sounds good though.

+1

I think he's very gifted and talented when it comes to training dogs.

Big fan of Cesar and have watched just about every (Dog Whisperer) show/video.

I grew up with dog(s) in the family and thought I had a fair understanding until I watched my first show. I was amazed and excited that I had little understanding of my past dog experiences.

What I learned was:
- humans talk WAY too much, talking isn't communication
- be calm, be patient, be consistent, be observant
- all dogs have similar traits, small dogs aren't 'yippy', big dogs aren't 'dangerous'
- people/owners are the source of almost all of the problems

Cesars passion and understanding of his craft remind me of Bruce Lee. I love to learn from those who know and can show.

Big fan here.

A few years ago, my wife took me to his travelling show, which was in Milwaukee.

First hour was his presentation, second hour was Q&A.

A few lowlights and one highlight from Q&A:

- During his presentation, he mentioned that dogs can sense whether you have integrity. In Q&A, a self-identified social worker asked him how he could speak to the integrity issue since he had just been divorced. Sigh... Cesar stayed calm and said he did not want to discuss personal/family issues at this forum. I was embarrassed to be in that audience.

- A women asked him how to overcome her fear of pitbulls. Cesar told her to leave her address/phone number with his assistant and they would bring his pack to her house the following morning!! She screamed, "Are you out of your mind?" and ran out of the building.

- a young girl had a good question and then asked if he would sign his books, which she had brought along. He invited her onstage for the signing and then gave her a hug.

He also had junior with him - great looking dog! Go to see him if you can...

Very nice oily boyd. Thank you for the additional info and yes I would have been a little embarrassed as well from some of those questions. Some people...

Exactly! Body Language is how animals communicate!! your whole demeanor is key. Good trainers whether horses or dogs recognize herd and pack mentality and how they use their body language to their advantage. Observation cant be done enough!!
