Lol yes because in an emergency stop, completely locked up brakes are so much better. In fact, in no case I can think of is locked up brakes better. ABS modulates much faster than your foot can.

Actually, in deep snow, on gravel or sand, locked brakes will actually allow you to stop the car more quickly if ABS isn't involved.....and keep in mind, ABS's actual intent is to allow the driver to retain some steering control in a panic stop, so shorter stopping distances are not always a given.

Hav e you experience NO BRAKE RETARDATION in slush with abs - its as if you have not applied the brakes at all. The ABS cycling time constant is brake OFF 50% the when barke pulse applied these is no retardation due to low mu-N. It does not work. I can drive - I dont need the car to unthink what I do. Like my wifes forester with hillholder and ESC - almost got crashed - by the sophomoric computer/software WRONG THINGKING my actions - just like many "unsolved" aircraft crashes in certain correction scenarios - the plane was brought down by the computer/software that misunderstood the pilots emergency corrections.

I think you can pull the fuse on the ABS if you like. Piece of tape over the light and off you go...
I can't say I've missed ABS on my cars, it might of saved a skunk if it was matched with ESC on the Tracker as I didn't push the handling envelope too far in that case... Not worth crashing over!

Yep. All the EPS motor is really doing is helping assist at the input shaft. Some systems like Toyota's older EPS system on the MR2 was a electrohydraulic system - a regular hydraulic rack was used with a electrically-driven pump.
