OK, just to update this thread:
What has been performed since the purchase:
1. Front brakes (by me)
2. Exhaust flex pipe replaced (mechanic)
3. Rear wheel bearing nuts and caps (mechanic)
4. Parking brake lines (mechanic)
5. Catalytic heat shield (mechanic)
6. Transmission flush (by me)
7. Oil change w/PC 0w40 and K&N oil filter (by me)
8. Air filter change (FRAM, by me)
9. Driver's-side inner-tie rid (by me today)
10. Spark plugs (by me today)
11. Power steering fluid exchange (by me today)
12. Battery post clean and re-seat (by me)
13. Front oxygen sensor replaced (by me)
Still to be done:
Long coolant hose from the water pump to the rad. I have it in the trunk of the car. Will be using DELO coolant from Jon (slammds15).
EGR tube from valve to manifold. Going to wreckers to grab it tomorrow. It is $100.00 from Ford.
She's basically ready for her safety at this point. The inner-tie rod was quoted at 3+ hrs, and there was the the O2 and coolant hose picked-up on by the mechanic. I told him I would do those jobs myself and bring the car back. So that's what I'm doing. The tie-rod only took me 45 minutes.... So I can't understand why it is quoted as such a long job????
Hoping to have at MOST $2000 in it, certified, E-tested and plated. Not too bad considering
Will have pics of the plugs that came out of it up shortly. They are Bosch copper plugs, they were replaced with the correct Motorcraft plugs.
