Came across this for a reasonable (IMO) price albeit with 90k miles while browsing autotempest. $25k, all the other ones I was seeing were ~$30k or more with similar or less miles, the GM Twins weren't any better. The original window sticker was even still in the glove box.... MSRP of $68,000 🫠 This is replacing the van and our recently totaled truck.

Drives great, religiously dealer maintained with 5k mile oil changes its whole life, and only 2 warranty claims (APIM in 2020, rear blower motor in 2022). Just got new front shocks before we got it. The older kids who sit in the 3rd row are already enjoying the extra room they have. We're enjoying having a vehicle that gets out of its own way when asked instead of just making noise.

So behold, our new to us Expedition with the FX4 off-road package! Banana for scale at the request of my father 🤣 It has blind spot monitoring, built in trailer brake controller, rain sensing wipers, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, android auto, ambient lighting my wife immediately set to purple....

Good on ya mate! That’s a good buy…
Now remove the banana before it goes stinky 😵‍💫

Nice vehicle..... enjoy it!

My daughter/her husband bought a 2015 XLT EL 2 wheel drive a couple of years back. They don't ski, but I was dissapointed they did not get 4x4. I did make sure they got some decent all weather tires at least.

Nice. We had one as a rental in Hawaii last summer.....it was pretty legit. Sport mode with the TT is always fun.

These still have a 5.4L? Or have they moved onto another engine.
3.5 Ecoboost and 10 speed trans. Very quiet and very smooth. Push the pedal to the floor and it just goes with just a hint of turbo lag. Compared to the truck where it would drop a gear or 2 to maintain speed on a hill, the Expedition seems to favor building boost first.

If you duct taped the banana to those places, you could auction the truck as mobile artwork.
I am under strict instruction to "not mess with it" by my wife, ESPECIALLY not the exhaust 😅

I don't think she would notice a tune though 😉

Thanks for the information. From what I hear the 3.5L has been okay & by 2019 should be ironed out to a certain extent.

I was warned listen for clatter on cold start (cam phasers) and clunking/banging into gear (CDF drum in transmission) by my buddy who's a Ford tech. From the info he pulled, neither had been touched on ours.
