Amsoil PI costs about 40% less than FP60 considering the new pricing for FP60.

Will both of them stabilize the nitration readings in UOAs as well and remove carbon?

Michael,

I have not tested FP (I'd be glad to do so if someone were to send me some

), but I've been using the Amsoil Performance Improver (PI) since it first came on the market back in about 1980.... I've had excellent results using PI @ 1 ounce/10 gallons of fuel; added prior to filling the tank.

While I have not done a statistically valid test using a "control" population of engines, I get consistently excellent oil analysis results in my personal vehicles using PI in conjunction with Amsoil lubes. I do believe it improves combustion efficiency by maintaining cleanliness of key components, which in turn reduces fuel contamination and the solids buildup in the oil; helping it to maintain its original viscosity.

I am not at all surprised that folks are reporting excellent results with FP. In contrast to using most oil additives, I do think pump gas and diesel fuel can really benefit from very small but consistent doses of FP, Amsoil PI or Redline SL-1.
Those are the best three fuel additives I'm aware of, although I'm sure there are others that have their fans as well...

I have also used PI in every tankful of one car for over 10 years and never had injection or oter problems. I am currently using Schaeffers Neutra as I got a good deal on it from a rep going out of business. I like neutra also but not as convenient to use as PI. Once the neutra is gone I will be back to PI. Much much easier to use every tankful then multiple ounces of Fp or Neutra

Michael,

Do a search, there are other threads here comparing the PI to the FP60,
according to one thread, they do overlap themselves in their characteristics for cleaning, etc.
