Amsoil Oil Filter 5k miles

For a gas engine, it would have to be running pretty rich to blow that much soot into the oil. Maybe those short trips was enough to do that. Might look at the fuel trims with an OBD2 reader to see if it's running richer in closed-loop than it normally should.
I always run 93 octane and I also ran 94 for about 2 months.

Same engine showing a lot of fuel dilution. My last sample came back around 2.5% I thin. Not bad. This guy's UOA is showing 4.6% for last sample.

Alright I’m getting carried away here but just for fun I took a paper towel and dipped in the used oil.

First image is right after I took the pic and the second is an hour later.

Cool Beans! I just received filters from AMZOIL to run in my Toyota and Ford to coincide with the VRP oil swap out. First time for me to install AMSOIL filters on my cars. Look forward to great service. 5K mile OCI's.
