i Know im not supposed to ask for VOA, but has there ever been any analysis of this transmission fluid. Numbers wise it seems in harmony more with a dexIII and the fuel efficient oe atf closer to a dex VI just curious who has used this and what there thoughts are on it as Compared to maxlife or mobil 1 atf

Redline gear oils are the best in the world.
I feel Amsoil makes excellent products but if I am going to pay the premium for Amsoil, I want the top shelf products, not the OE. I use Amsoil ATF and SVG gear oil.

I researched various ATF's over the past month while trying to pick the best choice for vehicles. Amsoil ATF came up well recommended and with a stout add pack for an ATF. They offer multiple viscosities, including a low visc Fuel Effic ATF (5.9 vis). If you want a fully stout DEX 3 they have that in both in both the regular MV ATF and Torque Drive selections (7.6 vis). For manual transmissions requiring ATF those 2 Amsoil choices rank near the top.
There are Amsoil VOA's on this site as I searched for them over the past few weeks. Google "Amsoil ATF VOA" and they should pop up. I also ran across MaxLife ATF, RL ATF D4, Mobil 1 synthetic ATF. There's a thread on here from 2009 that shows 3 of these VOA's: RL, M1, and GM MTL/ATF (link below). I think you'll find that the add packs for M1, RL, RP, and Amsoil ATF are fairly similar, and stouter than your generic brands of ATF. Even Honda ATF DW1 and Valvoline MaxLife come up much stouter add packs than the generic Dex3/Mercs. My only concern on MaxLife was the lower visc of 6.0 since I was looking at ATF for a manual trans.
Fwiw this is what I ran across:
Amsoil ATF used oil analysis at 50K miles: visc 6.6, Bo-220 ppm, Ca-220-300, Phos-400-550,Zn-20-130
Amsoil ATF TD VOA - visc 7.6, VI 180, Brookfield 8410, Ca-28, Bo-133, Phos-230.
I found a fairly wide range of results based on VOA's and used oil analysis I ran across, so I put them down as a range. In one sample Zn was 20, yet in another was 130. There's also the issue of reformulations from older samples taken to newer products. Of course these VOA's leave out important stuff like FM's and other additives. Cost-wise, I'd just got with Mobil 1 ATF if I was looking for an automatic trans synthetic.

Even with a VOA there's no guarantee those numbers are really accurate, or what the secret ingredients in the package are. VOA's don't tell us how well the product will work in our vehicles. Amsoil apparently says that their LV product can work in Honda's requiring the DW-1. That would suggest similar chemistries, and I did find a Honda ATF DW-1 VOA.

I know the preference is for the signature series Amsoil atf, however I am going to be changing out the oil on 2 Subaru's the outback h6 will get signature series. The older legacy with 230k, I figured I would get the OE series Amsoil atf if its at least an equal to the Valvoline Maxlife. I have been running it in both 4eat transmissions, but i want to try something a bit closer to dex III the max life sits at a 6.0@40c / 28.0@100c

well just a heads up, I decided to go all signature series amsoil to keep it consistent and not have to run multiple stock piles lol
