So, they need to fine an assembler that does. I know it'll probably fall on deaf ears, but I'd highly recommend they approach Fleetguard, who seems to have their eye on QC.
Amsoil ea15k04 close inspection question

I’m a smooth brained, simple man from the country. Were I some high powered amsoil exec, I’d be on this wavelength of thought. Not a chance I’d sacrifice the brand for some short term profits. Especially if legitimately an independent brand. Too much to lose!
To be honest
I’ve sent off a VOA on Amsoil’s HM 5W-30 and waiting on results but also I’ve been looking at Amsoil filters
Now I’m not so sure about the filter
If it looks good, run it.
Tbh, i DID use their filters for Honda engines I was also changing at the time. They were the canister type and appeared just fine best I could tell.

Its unfortunate both Donaldson and Fleetguard operate outside the mainstream automotive aftermarket but they do make custom filters as a private label should one have enough capital to order in volume to meet MOQ.
I found their Synteq & StrataPore application through unconventional methods by searching by Attributes than by OEM cross-reference, its a lot of homework and research required which is why many months ago I went through the trouble of buying virgin samples from both Fleetguard and Donaldson to cut open, verify vehicle fitment & bypass relief pressure setting that would work in place of the OEM filter without potential trouble.
Funny enough I did some reading long ago in the Duramax forums that people were modding their oil filter mounting union with a thread size adapter that fitted the larger Donaldson Blue filters that one Donaldson rep actually drop by in the forums to give some kudos to the modder and later they made a dedicated DBL part number for the Duramax application few months later.
I hope guys like @NashNative take some notes there is a demand for better quality filtration. I would love to find a StrataPore that would fit my Subarus and Hondas.

Yeah, I'm quite lucky that all my applications have a Fleetguard Stratapore cross (FL-1A and FL-820S equivalents) so not much legwork required on my end. They make great filters (as does Donaldson) and, given the state of First Brands and M+H, it does seem there's some opportunity in the passenger vehicle space for a range of common part #'s and high quality cans. Cover the LSx engines, HEMI's, Hurricane, Coyote and Ecoboost...etc.
Nothing is perfect oil filter.

I will be the first to say when I’m wrong. And here goes: I took a picture of the filter I had already installed after weighing the options and bit the bullet. Post use initial pics below from the same filter I posted and we discussed at length. The glue is the same best I can tell. With that said, maybe the technical guy was actually on the nose from amsoil. I am going to give it one more try with the other Ea series cartridge filter I have before I eat all the crow there is and go back to mother hen amsoil. 7300 approx miles on this one.

I would suggest taking a pick and probe the glue before installing to see if it's hardened or will chip off.
I did with my gloved finger prior to this whole thing. I didn’t want to mess with it using a small screw driver, etc as I didn’t want to potentially tear the media or unknowingly loosen the glue and making it more apt to come off.

Wait until you look at a fram equivalent.
It's not "stitched" together. It's bonded, and the black stuff you're seeing is the wire backing material sticking out of the seam.
