Yeah, I posted that back in the day...

laughable that thy dispelled the one armed bandit test in a period where they were advocating and justifying the 4 ball as appropriate for engine oils.

Let it go. They are no longer using it. You should see someone about that OCD. Furthermore it has nothing to do with this video.

And it has other applicable ASTM tests as well. Not just 4-ball. So who cares that they list tests that are meaningless for this type of product if the others are included that do matter?
You are making a mountain out of nothing.

A video from any date explaining why this is a bad way to prove anything is a good thing. Lots of newbies here that don't understand it.

Just further proves my point that you just want to slander them because of your own agenda. None of what you brought up has anything to do with this video explaining why this form of testing is not a proper way to prove anything. It happens to be put out my Amsoil and that all of a sudden seems to give you a license to slander the brand once again with your nonsense.

Because it's irony that a company that consistently, for the life of the company, over the majority of their products have defended the use of a misapplied grease/EP test...disproves a misapplied grease and EP test as charitanism…In a period where they DIDN'T use the Sequence IVA

Seriously, don't you see the funny side ?

Amsoil has always, always, always struck me as the over promoted, over marketed, and over the top in general. Their sales and marketing effort turns me away from ever considering using them.

Why do they have to come across so arrogant, deceitful, and holier than thou? Don't they know that drives people to their competitors?

A little class and a little restraint would go such a long way to improve their image.

Any other company using "Go Big" "Be over the top" would be praised especially being an American company bu in Amsoil's case? Oh no. It's trash them to the max here. Only SOPUS and M1 are the god-children here.

used oil analysis say otherwise when compared to the mileages these withstand compared to AMSOIL Signature Series in the same applications but it's about heresay here not about actual lab testing proving what the lubricant is capable of.

Anyway, this thread isn't about that so lets bring it back to the one-arm bandit tester and this is good information as to why it's a useless snake-oil type test that proves nothing.

Shampoo beat Amsoil at that test, that is funny? Any friction test on virgin oil really only tests the vii's, that is why high heat tests like hths are good imo.

Umm, no that's all totally incorrect.

Oh Burla is back. I wonder how Redline would have worked in this test with its nano-robots that repair Hemi ticking.

Nano technology is a powerful thing. It was proven on a British document called Red Dwarf to be able to regenerate a spaceship and its crew centuries later. Quite impressive.

Now I haven't used any amsoil and/or red line but I'll take red line any day cuz I love moly
