AMSOIL Coolant Boost

If you're a straight-water operator, it looks like good stuff.

If you run coolant and don't have any cooling system problems, I don't see the benefit.

If you run coolant and do have cooling problems, I think those problems should be fixed correctly.

If you're not overheating, what would they be?

The entire purpose of the product seems to be:

*obtaining better corrosion resistance than straight-water
*obtaining better thermal efficiency than straight water
*allegedly better thermal efficiency than coolant mix

How they achieve the third one is beyond me.

It's a simple fact that there are a lot of products out there that can reduce the surface tension of water in order to obtain better thermal transfer efficiency. Older racers use to add a dose of dish soap to straight water to get that effect.

It's a no-brainer than a chemical composition could be added to water to reduce corrosion.

I'm not sure how they improve a coolant mix to increase thermal transfer ability.

But in any case, if you are not overheating, the most this will do for you is bring your coolant to thermostat temp. If you're not overheating, then you are already there.

Your car is next to new, and probably very well made.

Just drive and stay on top of the regular maintenance.

Honestly it really is for specialty use, no need for an everyday driver - and I sell the stuff. Much better served by flushing coolant every two years or so. Some people never even do THAT - and I'm talking people who change their oil regularly. Really one the main reason I avoid used cars anymore.
