No, it's not clogged. You live in Canada. It must be cold there. I live in Wisconsin, and it's cold here too. That's normal operation for the bypass filter.quote:

I havn't changed many of these filters yet but they've never plugged up this soon. Could it be from the cold weather and condenstaion? Has anyone else noticed that their bypass filters don't last as long in cold weather?
I put a new filter on last November. Then I drove 60 to meet my brother in the center of the sate. He was late, so I checked both the FF and bypass filters for warmth.
The bottom of the bypass was cold to the touch, warm in the middle, and hot on the top where the oil enters. The FF filter was hot to the touch.
12k is a lot of miles on a bypass filter. When I ran a Frantz and was late on changing it it would cool down within 3k to 4k winter or summer.
