Bringing this thread back from the dead has reminded me of the ol' girl...

I hope she's doing well with the new owner and he's watching those bodily fluids, cause I warned him about that after getting the cash.

Love that color. So far after 1,000 miles of ownership on mine, the oil level hasn't budged at all. The dealership was using 5w-30 instead of the recommended 0w-20, so hopefully when I go to a 20-grade on my next change, the consumption will stay in check.

I'd stick with the 5w30 (or use Mobil 1's 0w30 AFE) to not only keep oil consumption down but wear as well.

Toyota only went to 0w20 for fuel economy. The 2AZ-FE engine didn't change from when it first came out requiring 5w30 to when they started recommending 0w20.
